Ok, Ok...

I'll post something else too. We finally decided to bite the bullet and get a really good camera. We got a Canon digital Rebel and I love it so much. I've been playing with it and here's a few of the photos I took. I still need to practice with it, it does a lot more than any camera we've had before and I'm not real educated about it yet. But I'm excited to use it this Christmas!!

Our Weekend

We woke up both mornings, ate six meals (and a few snacks), watched a little tv, went to church, went to our church's Christmas pagent, saw the Bengals win, cleaned house a bit and went back to bed.....happy Sonya!!!! LOL

Noah lost his first tooth

A week or so ago, Noah lost his first tooth! I remember when those teeth came in, I can't believe I have a child that's old enough to lose their teeth!!! At least the Tooth Fairy was generous with him and brought $5.00!!!

Christmas Photo

This is a version of our Christmas photo. While it may look good on this website, it's a bit pixelated when you print it out, but I thought it was just adorable. I love both of their smiles in it!!

PS I apologize for it being sideways, I can' figure out how to turn it. Sonya can you help me?!?!

Ok now, to a real issue!!

What is with this controversy over the new smoking ban? I can't even begin to tell you how happy I was to check the box in favor of a state wide smoking ban back in November and even more ecstatic when I found out it would take affect on my Birthday!! We celebrated yesterday by going to Frisch's and BREATHING in the clean air. They didn't ask what section we wanted to sit in and we didn't object when they placed us close to the old smoking section. Finally I could take my children to a place like this and not worry about having to wait awhile for a table far away from the smokers. And yet, later in the day I hear their trying to stop it at least for six months until monitoring is available. WHAT??? I just can't believe this is even an issue. We have the right to breathe clean air, and this is just so ridiculous. The people have spoken (not the government as some like to complain are taking away their rights), we voted, we decided and we shouldn't have to wait another second to enter any establishment and be able to breathe clean air. These people would never allow someone to back their car into their living room and pump exhaust fumes at them, or allow a big manufacturing plant to run their smoke stack into their home, but we have to breathe in their poisonous fumes because they can't wait an hour until they've finished their meal and are secured in their vehicle on the way home, or even just standing outside enjoying the fresh air that God has provided for our breathing enjoyment to do their "business". Come on, when the effects of second hand smoke became public this should have been the law from that moment on. Get with it people, we're tired of your habits ruining our meal, ruining our evening and ruining our health. Please stop it!! AAAAHHH, now I feel so much better and I'm going to sit in my house and feel so good knowing that not only am I not breathing in that nastiness, but I work very hard to keep my kids away from it as well, which is just the way it should be......

Another Introduction

I couldn't go without introducing our sweet puppy Jasmine. She's the third baby in our house!! Everynight after the kids go to bed me and Jazzy Belle sit on the couch together and just snuggle. She's so sweet. I just love her little chocolate nose!! Yes I know I have a strange obsession with doggy noses, but hers is so cute!! She so desperately desires to be a lap dog and usually only fits half of herself on a lap at any given time, but I don't mind. She's our sweet, pupster!!

Riley

This is my nephew Riley. He's my brother's first baby and I just love him so!! He's such a sweet baby and I'm so glad I get to take care of him so often. I can't wait until he calls me Aunt Jamie!! He looks so much like my brother it's a bit scary!! We're so glad to have him as a part of our family!!

Noah's a good shopper!!

Noah's school did a Holiday Workshop today where the kids were allowed to shop for members of their families. Noah came home with a huge bag full of gifts and when I saw what he chose for Abby and Daddy, it brought tears to my eyes. He is so thoughtful and intuitive even at this age. He did the same thing last year and I of course had the same reaction. I can't wait to see what he chose for me, I know I'm going to just love it. Last year it was a beautiful charm bracelet with butterflies and flowers on it, I loved it!! I hope he remains so loving and sweet, he's such a good boy. I don't know why these little things always bring tears to my eyes, but I guess I'm just a big sap!! It's my pride and joy just pouring out of me!!

Abby's a star!!

Tonight was Abby's first Christmas program for school. Oh how I love seeing my children perform. It gives me so much joy to see them up there feeling so proud of themselves. Mamaw, Papaw and Grammy came to see the show. I remember Noah's performances when he was in preschool. I loved those so much as well. Now that he's in "public school" they don't do Christmas programs anymore or even Christmas parties, oh, but don't worry he's having a "winter party", but that's a topic for another post!! Anyway, my little girl was a redbird tonight trying to make a lonely fir tree feel more like a special Christmas tree and I couldn't have been more proud!!
