My crazy deal

Ok, here's the best deal I've gotten in awhile, I hesitate to share it because unless you have the same coupons I had, it won't be as good for you, but here it is, there are a total of 8 items and for each item I will list the description, original price, sale price and the coupon I used

1: Kraft 8oz bag of shredded cheese, 3.69, 1.67, .40
2: Kraft 8oz bag of shredded cheese, 3.69, 1.67, .40
3:Nabisco Wheat Thins, 3.49, 2.00, .50
4:Nabisco Cheese Nips, 2.99, 1.67, .50
5:Planters Cashews, 5.69, 2.50, 1.00
6:10 oz A-1 Steak Sauce, 4.19, 2.99, 1.00
7:Capri Sun, not sure of regular price so I'll stick with 1.88, 1.88, .80
8:Philadelphia Cream Cheese, 1.99, 1.00, .60

So the totals are regular prices: 27.61
Sale Price: 15.38
Coupon totals: 5.20
So that leaves 10.18 in price and if that weren't enough, Kroger is having a special where if you get 8 Nabisco or Kraft products you automatically get 7.00 off your total!! HELLO, that means I got all of the for 3.18!!!!!!!!! That means I got everything 88.5% off!! WOOO, go me, go me, it's my birthday, go me!!!!!

Girl Day

Well I've felt like I neglected Abby a bit these past few days because I've been very busy caring for Riley, so I decided today I would do all of her favorite things and make sure she knows she's my number 1 girl!! So we first made a craft. We took a piece of cardboard and decoupaged purple tissue paper over it and a few pictures of her and Noah and then we painted her handprints into the very abstract shape of a heart and labeled it with their names. I think it looks really cute and I'm going to hang it upstairs. Then we played Don't Spill the Beans which she loves, then we read a big stack of books, then she got a long bubble bath in my tub and later we're going to do a little shopping for Grammy (she loves it when it's just the two of us shopping together). Now she's watching the Jetsons!! It's a great day and I hope she feels how much I do love her eventhough sometimes I can't do everything she needs me to because I'm busy with Riley. I don't want her to feel jealous of him at all and I work hard at that. Well just thought I'd share our day!!

Growing U

Our church is offering these great classes on Sunday evenings and we decided to take the Value Packed Parenting class and tonight was the first. It's mainly a video class and tonight the man on the video (whose very funny and interesting to listen to) compared our children to wet cement and that we only have a very short time to get it right. I loved that analogy. I know with Noah the time has already gone by so fast and Ijust know that the rest of his time here in our home will be just as quick (to me anyway, to him it'll be like torture I'm sure!!!) I can't wait to see the rest of the series, they're going to discuss birth order differences, how discipline is not the same as punishment, how to talk to our kids so they'll listen and how to listen so they'll talk, improving childs self confidence and a session on anger. I'm very excited about it. He also said that our kids are bringing luggage with them to adulthood and we are the ones packing it for them. Should we pack it with fillers or value? I really enjoyed and can't wait to come back!! Also, while we're in this class the kiddies are in choir classes at church so it works out really well for us. It's a great time!!

Abby's new clothes

This is the outfit I talked about on Sonya's blog, from the Disney Store. I think it was worth every penny!! She looks so cute!!

Snowy Sunday

Well of course everyone knows that it snowed on Sunday and we of course took some time to go out and play around. We used the little sleds that we got at the end of last winter and I tried to pull the kids around together, but boy were they heavy!! Jasmine loved running around out there and she ate a lot of the snow!! It was lots of fun

Noah's first Basketball Game

Noah is in the Upward Basketball League at our church this year. It is absolutely the best thing I have ever seen. Noah has played several other sports and this one takes the cake, and I am not usually a basketball fan at all!! They are very fair and let's just have fun oriented, but also very Christian centered. Every practice stops halfway through for devotion time. They always pray before they play and everyone is just so positive and upbeat. For everygame they turn off the lights, blow some fog from a machine, play music, shine a spotlight and announce every player and cheerleaders name. It is just so cool. They give out 5 stars everygame for different things and this game Noah got the best effort because they just rave about Noah's attitude and his willingness to go out there and try his best. He's not the best player on the team, but he's always smiling, cheering and doing whatever is asked of him and that means so much more to me than best offense or best defense. I always was so uncomfortable playing sports because I was so afraid I'd mess up and everyone would laugh at me, so I tried to avoid them as much as possible, but I am so relieved that my son is completely opposite. He loves it!! Now I only hope Abby is the same as him, so far she's headed in that direction. The pictures came out a bit dark and blurry for some reason, maybe the next game will be better, but here's some.

This was when they announced Noah's name, I know it's really dark, but he's number 14 and if you zoom in you can see him

Noah playing hard

Yay, 2 more points!!

Noah's party

Well last night we had Noah's Birthday party!! It was so awesome. We had the biggest turnout ever and it was just a blast. I think everyone had a good time. I know we did!! We played several games to qualify for the piston cup, we ate skyline chili with spaghetti and hot dogs (Noah's favorite), we had cake (and cupcakes), opened presents and then watched the movie on our movie theater screen. It was so awesome. I have so many great pictures thanks to Sonya and Steve!! I remember Friday night when I was up folding more laundry at 11:45pm, my husband asked me why I go to such lengths for these parties and when I saw the pictures, it hit me why. Noah's face says it all to me!!
